My Approach

When life feels overwhelming, confusing, or painful, it can be difficult to find a way forward alone. Therapy offers a supportive space to pause, gain perspective, and move toward change with clarity and care.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and always tailored to the individual. I don't work from a one-size-fits-all model; instead, therapy is shaped around your specific needs, goals, and circumstances. I integrate mind–body awareness, parts-based work, and evidence-based psychological methods to support meaningful and sustainable change.

Alongside exploration and understanding, I focus on providing effective, personalised solutions. Some concerns—such as unwanted habits or specific patterns—may be well suited to short-term, focused work. Others, including trauma or abuse, often benefit from a longer-term approach that allows deeper layers to be addressed with care and stability. The pace, depth, and structure of the work are always guided by what best serves you.

I offer both online and in-person sessions. Online therapy takes place in your own space and offers flexibility and convenience. In-person sessions provide the grounding experience of working together in the room, with the added support of shared presence and co-regulation. You're welcome to choose the format that feels right for you, or to move between the two as your needs evolve.

At the heart of my work is a commitment to your autonomy and best interests. Therapy is not about dependency or open-ended treatment. My aim is to support you in developing clarity, resilience, and inner resources so that you can move forward with confidence and independence.

Healing isn't about fixing yourself or becoming someone new. It's about strengthening your capacity to live with greater steadiness, choice, and alignment with who you are.

Tailored Support for Your Unique Needs

I am passionate about tailoring my services to your personal circumstances because I believe we are all unique individuals with different needs and preferences.

To this end, I draw from a wide pool of different therapeutic techniques to find the best possible match for your situation and requirements, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Intuitive Psychotherapy
  • Somatic Experiencing (Mind/Body Work)
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) & Parts Work
  • Gestalt Therapy
  • Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
  • Mindfulness
  • Hypnotherapy

For therapy to be effective, it is essential that the therapist has up-to-date skills and knowledge in order to ensure that you can benefit from the most cutting-edge thinking in the field. I stay actively engaged in ongoing professional development both nationally and internationally so I can offer you the most current, effective, and compassionate care.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is a gentle starting point. We'll explore what brings you to therapy, what you're hoping for, and what feels most important right now. You're welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable. My role is to offer a calm, attuned space where we can begin to understand your needs together.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
People come to therapy for many reasons — feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or simply wanting to understand themselves better. Some need help with specific problems such as irrational phobias, unwanted habits or panic attacks. If something in your life feels difficult to manage alone, therapy can offer support, clarity, and a place to breathe. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit.
What issues do you work with?
I work with a wide range of emotional, relational, and trauma-related concerns, including anxiety, depression, panic attacks, narcissistic patterns, relationship and attachment difficulties, low self-esteem, identity questions, and the impact of past experiences. I also support individuals, couples, and families navigating neurodiversity. Alongside these areas, I work with many other life challenges, such as sexual concerns, unwanted habits, and patterns that no longer serve you. If you're unsure whether your situation fits, you're very welcome to ask—we can explore it together.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. I offer both in‑person and online sessions. Online therapy can be just as effective as meeting face‑to‑face, and some clients find it more accessible or comfortable. You're free to choose the format that feels right for you or swap in-between online and in-person sessions.
How long will therapy take?
There's no fixed timeline. Some people come for a short period to focus on a specific issue; others choose longer‑term work to explore deeper patterns or experiences. We'll review your progress together and make sure the pace and direction feel supportive and right to you.
What is your therapeutic approach?
My approach is relational, integrative, and tailored to each client's unique needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all model. I draw on mind–body awareness, parts work, eye movement reprocessing, hypnotherapy, and evidence-based psychological methods to create a therapeutic experience that responds to what you specifically need.
Is everything I share confidential?
Yes. What you share in therapy is confidential, with a few legal and safeguarding exceptions that I will always explain clearly before therapy starts. Your safety and autonomy are central to how I work.
What if I find it hard to talk about certain things?
That's completely okay. Many people feel this way. We'll go at a pace that feels manageable, and you'll never be pushed to share more than you're ready for. Therapy is a collaborative process — we'll navigate it together.
What happens if I need to cancel a session?
I ask for 48 hours' notice for cancellations. This allows me to offer the time to someone else who may be waiting. Sessions cancelled with less notice can't usually be reallocated and will therefore be charged in full.
Why don't you use client testimonials?
As an accredited psychotherapist, I follow the professional and ethical guidelines set by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). These standards are designed to protect your privacy and ensure that therapy remains a confidential, safe space. UKCP prohibits the use of client testimonials because, by law, any testimonial must be verifiably real. To prove reviews are authentic, I would need to reveal identifying information about the client providing a testimonial which would compromise confidentiality. Protecting your privacy is my number one priority and as a result, I do not use testimonials in any form.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention and deep relaxation—one that we all experience in everyday life. It's similar to the feeling of driving a familiar route and arriving without consciously recalling every turn, or the gentle space between wakefulness and sleep. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process. You remain fully aware and in control at all times. My role is simply to guide your attention in a way that allows you to access deeper layers of the mind—where beliefs, patterns, and protective responses often operate beyond conscious awareness. In this focused and receptive state, the mind can become more open to insight, creativity, and inner resources that may not be as easily reached through ordinary conversation. Hypnosis can be used on its own or integrated with other therapeutic approaches, and many people find it supports meaningful change in a way that feels both gentle and effective.
